Playing & rules
Does MyPuzzleOnline cost anything?
No. All 17 games are completely free – no subscription and no paywall. The site is financed through advertising (Google AdSense).
Do I need an account?
No. You can start right away. Your progress is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device.
Does the site work on mobile?
Yes, it is optimized for smartphone, tablet and desktop. In word search and crossword you can tap or drag.
Gamification
How does the streak system work?
Play on consecutive days and your streak grows. A missed day resets it. Why daily routines help is explained in our article on habits & streaks.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your current streak starts again at 1. Your best streak, XP and achievements are kept.
How do I get XP and levels?
Every solved puzzle gives XP – more for higher difficulty, mistake-free play and speed. With enough XP you rise through 10 levels from Beginner to Legend.
Technology & privacy
Is my data stored?
Only locally in your browser (localStorage). There is no account and no server for game data. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my saved data?
At the bottom of the privacy page you’ll find the buttons “Export data” and “Delete all data” (with a confirmation prompt).
Can I install MyPuzzleOnline as an app?
Yes. It is a PWA – choose “Add to home screen” or “Install” in your browser menu.
Does the site work offline?
After your first visit the pages are cached, so most games also run offline.
Daily Challenges
Why are the daily challenges the same for everyone?
They are generated from the date as a seed. So everyone solves the same puzzle and can compare.
Does puzzling really make you smarter?
Honest answer: there are studies showing correlations, but no proof of protection against dementia. We classify the research transparently in our knowledge base.
